The institution was established in 1919 and received recognition for intermediate classes in 1939. It was later upgraded to the undergraduate (graduation) level in 1959 and obtained affiliation for B.A. and B.Com courses from Agra University. In 1965, postgraduate courses such as M.A. and M.Com were introduced. At present, the institution provides education up to the postgraduate level in the fields of humanities (arts) and social sciences, along with facilities for PhD (research). The institution focuses on providing employment-oriented education and has introduced courses like BCA, BBA, and B.Ed, supported by modern facilities such as computer labs and ICT-based learning systems. Its main objective is the overall development of students, including physical, intellectual, and moral growth, while ensuring education without any discrimination based on caste, religion, or other factors. The campus is large and well-developed, offering complete sports facilities including indoor and outdoor games, a stadium, a hall, and a fully equipped gym.
